Description
The barn at Alkerton Court, located immediately to the north-east, dates from the late 18th century. It is constructed of brick on a slag block plinth and features a tile roof. The south side has a central cambered relieving arch above renewed double timber doors that provide access for carts. There is a projecting entry on the opposite side. Long slit vents are arranged in two tiers on both sides of the barn. Additionally, there is a small window with a cambered head to the left of the right door on the south side. The barn consists of five bays, with a brick wall dividing the first two bays from the left. The remaining bays are supported by collar and tie beam trusses with queen post struts.
