Description

This is an early 19th-century cottage situated at the bottom end of Long Street and the head of Ludgate Hill in Wotton-under-Edge. The exterior is constructed of rough rendered rubble with a stone slate roof, and it features a stone stack. The cottage is two storeys high and has two windows, each with sash windows containing glazing bars set within wide surrounds that protrude from the wall face. A six-panel door provides access to the building. The building contributes significantly to the area primarily due to its group value, acting as an important visual element within the streetscape.
