Description

Cliff Cottage is a detached house dating from the early to mid-18th century, with an enlargement occurring in the late 18th or early 19th century. Constructed of coursed rubble limestone, it features an artificial stone rebuilt chimney and a concrete tile roof. The earlier part of the front elevation, to the right, has two upper-floor two-light windows and a single ground-floor chamfered mullioned casement. A doorway to the left has a linking hoodmould and a later flat stone porch hood supported on shaped brackets; the doorway has a four-panel door. The addition to the left has single-window timber casement fenestration. The east end includes a lean-to outbuilding, and a blocked single-light casement is located above. The interior remains uninspected.
