Description

Cotswold Place is a building that originally consisted of three attached houses, but is now two. It dates back to the early 18th century for part of the structure, with the remainder of the row and the main house added in the early 19th century. The building is constructed of coursed and random rubble limestone, featuring ashlar and concrete block rebuilt chimneys, and has a concrete tile roof.

Number 1 is a two-storey house with an attic, while Number 2 is a two-storey former row that projects forward to form a yard. The front of Number 1 has a two-window arrangement, with all windows being three-light chamfered mullioned casements. There is a central round-arched doorway with a plank door and fanlight above. The chimneys are mounted on the ridge.

The south-facing row includes a later house to the right, which has two-light chamfered mullioned casements on each floor, and a doorway to the left with a stone lintel and a 20th-century glazed door. The right side features 20th-century restored single-light casements. The earlier house to the left has mixed fenestration, likely altered in the late 18th century, with one fixed light on the upper floor that retains its leading. The interiors have not been inspected. Cotswold Place is part of a group with Grey Cot and France Cottage.
