Description

The Bedford Arms is a 17th-century building located partly on the corner of Church Street and High Street. It features a stone facade that is faced in cement and stands three storeys tall. The gable includes an enriched oval design and a two-light stone mullion window on the second floor. The first floor has double-hung sash windows. The side elevation facing Church Street also has a gable with stone mullion windows. The building is topped with a tiled roof. The Bedford Arms, along with Nos 53 to 99 (consecutive), forms a group with all the listed buildings in The Market.
