Description

This is a mid-18th century ashlar building on the north side of High Street. It is three storeys high and features a cornice, blocking course, and a pediment supported by moulded consoles. The building has three bays of double-hung sash windows with glazing bars on the first and second floors. The Bedford Arms, at numbers 53 to 59, form a group with the other listed buildings in The Market.
