Description
The Church Hall, built in the early 19th century, is a two-storey structure made of ashlar stone. It features a giant Tuscan pilastrade that supports a full entablature and a blocking course. The ground floor has a blind arcade situated between the pilasters, while the first floor is adorned with six mullion and transom windows, one of which is blocked. A verandah on the ground floor is supported by iron columns, which are Tuscan in style and feature depressed arches with keys, along with arches in the spandrels. The roof is flat, with the ends of the joists projecting. The Church Hall is part of a group of listed buildings in The Market, which includes Nos 53 to 55 and The Bedford Arms on High Street.
