Description

28 and 29 High Street are early 19th-century buildings, possibly dating from 1823. They are faced in brick with ashlar stone. The structure consists of two shops that feature a continuous fascia supported by original Doric columns. The buildings rise to three storeys and have two windows each, which are double-hung sash with glazing bars. Pilasters extend through the upper floors, topped with caps that are enriched with egg-and-dart motifs, and there is a plain parapet at the top.
