Description

Barn Close is an early to mid-19th century house built onto a reputedly earlier barn conversion. It is located on the north-west side of Old Horsley Road. The front of the house is constructed of coursed rubble with a band over the ground floor, a plain cornice band, and a blocking course. The roof is of stone tile, with end chimneys. There are three windows, all with glazing bar sashes. A central arched doorway features a good patterned fanlight, a six-panel door, and a wrought iron tented porch. The attic is lit by gable ends and a dormer window to the rear.
