Description

The Gazard Monument is a chest tomb located about 8 meters west of the west door in the churchyard of the Church of All Saints. The earliest decipherable inscription on the monument is to Benjamin Gazard, who died in 1739. It is made of limestone and features a flat top, a moulded plinth, and capping. The corners are designed with quarter balusters. The west end displays a cherub and a cartouche, while the east end is adorned with palms. The side inscription panels are eared rectangles that include corner rosettes.
