Description

The Barnes monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard, approximately 4 meters northeast of the former Church of St Peter. It dates from 1798 and is made of sandstone. The tomb is rectangular in shape, featuring fluted side returns and moulded ends. The eastern end is adorned with a draped urn, while the south side has oval panels inscribed with the name Samuel Barnes, who died in 1798.
