Description

This is a group of four early 19th-century dwellings located on Symn Lane in Wotton-under-Edge. The buildings are constructed from squared and coursed stone, with a prominent ashlar plinth, and have Welsh slate roofs, which are hipped at the ends. Rear extensions have been added, typically as lean-tos. Each cottage is three storeys high and has a single window on each front elevation. The windows are casements of the sash type, set beneath wooden lintels. New doors are present, sharing a common lintel with the adjacent window in each case. The group of cottages includes number 5 and relates to number 1 nearby.
