Description

No. 8 Orchard Street is one of a pair of cottages in a terrace, built in the mid-19th century. The building is rough rendered and features a new profiled tile roof, arranged in a parallel range. It is three stories high and has one window, which contains sashes with original glazing bars and sash boxes that are set at the wall face. The entrance consists of a six-panel door with a rectangular fanlight above it, which has diagonal glazing bars. There is also a small projecting timber hood supported by wrought iron brackets. This cottage forms a pair with No. 9, although their facades are different.
