Description

Berkeley Hospital is an early 18th-century hospital building. It is constructed from rubble stone faced in incised render, set on a plinth, with alternating chamfered quoins and a hipped slate roof, featuring brick stacks. The building has a square shape and is two storeys high. It has six windows, which are 12-pane sashes with segmental heads and plain eared and shouldered architraves. The windows on the far right are blocked on both floors. To the right of the centre, there is a doorcase with a flat hood supported by carved brackets, leading to a six-panel door with fielded panels and a moulded wood architrave.
