Description

These are two houses forming a row, likely built in the 18th century and significantly altered around 1830. They have been re-faced with stucco, with brick chimneys and a replacement tile roof. The houses are two storeys high with an attic. A lean-to extension is attached to the rear of number 35.

The front elevation has a symmetrical four-window arrangement, with all windows being 16-pane sashes. A six-panel door is located to the right of the ground-floor sash of number 33, and a similar door sits between the sashes of number 35. A plain pilaster separates the buildings, and another marks the end of number 35. A plain eaves band runs along the top of the front elevation. A flat-roofed attic dormer has been added to number 35 in the 20th century. The south end of the building features a gable designed to resemble ashlar stonework, and incorporates a single-storey lean-to extension. The interior has not been inspected. These houses are included on the list for their contribution to the group value of the surrounding buildings.
