Description

This barn, located approximately 17 metres west of Combe House in Sheepscombe, dates from the 17th century. It is constructed of squared and coursed limestone with a stone slate roof, while an extension on the right has a tiled roof. The barn is 1½ storeys high and features a flush half-height gable on the left that includes a planked loading door, with a low ventilation slit beneath it. On the right side, there is an off-centre plank door, and another similar door at the extreme right. Between these doors, there is a sash window at eaves level. Attached to the right is a lower shed with a tiled roof, which has a ventilation slit in the left gable and a single door at the back opposite the front door. Although the interior is not accessible, early roof timbers can be seen.
