Description

This is a mid-18th century pedestal tomb located approximately 4 meters south of the west end of the nave of the Church of St Margaret in Nympsfield. It is made of limestone and features a rectangular shape with circular panels at the egg and dart enriched moulded ends. The sides are panelled, and it has a hollow moulded top with a cyma base. The inscription on the tomb is illegible. It stands on stone paving and was formerly surrounded by a railing. At the time of the survey in December 1986, the tomb appeared to be on the point of collapse.
