Description
Hay Hedge is a house that forms part of a row, dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of random rubble limestone with ashlar chimneys and features a stone slate roof. The building is two stories high with an attic and has an attached single-storey outbuilding.
On the south front, there are two windows, each with three-light chamfered mullioned casements. The ground floor windows are located beneath a linking hoodmould that rises over a stone lintel to a central doorway featuring a glazed door. One light of the right casement is obscured by the single-storey outbuilding addition. There is a continuous drip course above the upper floor casements, and a central gabled roof dormer with timber casements. The gable end chimneys have moulded caps, with the west chimney being particularly noted. A short rear wing connects to the row, which is not of special interest. The interior has not been inspected.
