Description
Morland Cottage is a detached house dating from the early 18th century. The front is made of coursed rubble, while the sides are constructed of random rubble. It features a brick chimney that has been rebuilt and a concrete tile roof. The building is two stories high with an attic, and there are single-storey flat-roofed additions to the rear, which are not considered of special interest.
The front of the cottage has a two-window arrangement, with all windows being 2-light chamfered mullioned casements. The ground floor windows are positioned beneath a continuous drip course. The central doorway has been blocked and now features casements, although the stone steps leading up to it remain in place. The eaves are coved in stone, and there is a pebbledashed lean-to on the left side that includes 20th-century casements. At the south end of the building, there is a very small off-centre single attic light. The interior has not been inspected.
