Description

This is a late 18th-century barn, later converted into a detached house. It is situated on high ground to the east of Bisley Village. The barn is constructed of random rubble limestone and has a stone slate roof. A south-facing porch is positioned off-centre, featuring weatherboarding on its gable and a 20th-century glazed infill beneath a timber lintel that originally spanned the barn doorway. To the right of the porch is an outshut with a lean-to roof, which has been cut into to allow for the insertion of windows in the main barn wall. There are two plank doors leading into the outshut. The east parapet gable end of the barn has a ball finial, and there are slit vents located below. An attached cartshed with a weatherboarded gable is also present. A former shelter shed is attached to the north side of the barn. The interior has been altered during conversion to a house, but was not inspected for these details. At the east end of the barn is a cartshed.
