Description
Norwich House is an early 18th-century house in a row, located on the High Street in Bisley Village. It was previously listed as House 28.6.60, and was originally adjoining Britannia to the south. The house is built of coursed rubble limestone, with an artificial stone chimney and a stone slate roof. It is two storeys high with an attic.
The front elevation has a mixed pattern of windows. The upper floor retains three of its original four two-light chamfered mullioned casements, which are united under a single hoodmould. One of these casements has been enlarged to create an upper-floor doorway leading to a small balcony with an iron front. The ground floor has two doorways, the central one featuring a deep stone lintel and glazed doors. To the left is a fixed-light window with glazing bars and a timber lintel, and to the right is a two-light casement window with a doorway beyond. Three gabled dormers are visible in the eaves of the roof, each with timber casements. A gabled wing is located at the rear of the property. The interior of the house has not been inspected.
