Description
The coach house and stables, located approximately 30 meters north-west of Nether Lypiatt Manor, date from the mid-18th century. The building is constructed of coursed and dressed limestone, with random rubble at the rear, and features ashlar chimneys and a stone slate roof. It has a long rectangular shape with the coach house situated at the center.
On the south front, there are two large, four-centred arched coach doorways with keystones, imposts, architraves, and flat hoodmoulds. At each end, there are Tudor arched doorways in a matching style, flanked by two mullioned and transomed casements, also with flat hoods. The hipped roof has two ridge-mounted chimneys with moulded tops and small ball finials. The rear of the building includes two single-storey gabled wings and a central 20th-century gabled porch, with two-light casements beneath each gable. Flush roof-lights are present in the stable loft. The interior has not been inspected.
