Description

Bismore Cottage is a detached house dating from the early to mid-18th century. It is constructed of random rubble limestone, with ashlar and artificial stone chimneys, and features an artificial stone slate roof. The building is two storeys high with an attic.

On the south end, there is a gable end with a central doorway that has a stone lintel and a plank door. Above this, there is a 2-light chamfered mullioned casement window in both the upper floor and the attic, both of which have leaded casements. The west side of the cottage has two 2-light casement windows on the ground floor and one on the upper floor. There are two chimneys mounted on the ridge.

A later addition has been made to the east side of the cottage. Although the interior has not been inspected, it is noted to have a spiral staircase alongside the chimney at the north end.
