Description
This is a chest tomb from the mid-18th century located about 16 meters east of the raised railed enclosure in the churchyard of the Church of St. Mary. It is made of limestone and features a flat top supported by two iron cramps, along with a moulded capping and plinth on a base. The corners have quarter balusters, and there is a cartouche on the west end and a relief on the east end, although the tops of three balusters are missing. The south side of the tomb has a recessed central square with flanking fielded panels, while the north side has a recessed central square with acanthus moulding and flanking high relief floral decoration. At the time of the survey in January 1985, the tomb was sinking badly to the south and showing signs of breaking up.
