Description

Upton House is an early to mid-18th century house situated in a terrace. The exterior is rendered, featuring a plain cornice and blocking course, topped by a concrete tile roof with coped verges. Rendered brick end stacks are also present. The building consists of a single front range with rear extensions, extending over two storeys and containing four windows from the front. One 12-pane sash window is located to the left, and three 19th-century 4-pane sash windows are positioned on the right, all with plain stone architraves. On the ground floor, there are three windows: a 12-pane sash on the far left, paired 4-pane sashes to the left of the front door, and a single 4-pane sash to the right. The doorcase features a flat stone hood supported by large, scrolled console brackets, framing a door of six fielded panels set within a plain stone surround.
