Description
This large house, located at the end of a terrace on High Street, dates from the mid-18th century. It features a stucco front set on a stone plinth, with banded rustication on the ground floor, while the sides are rendered or roughcast. The roof is hipped and covered with concrete tiles, and there are tall rendered end stacks topped with moulded cornices. A moulded stone cornice and blocking course adorn the top of the building.
The house has a large square shape and stands three storeys high, with four windows on the upper floors that are 12-pane sashes, although most have been replaced. The left bay is blind and features imitation painted sashes. On the ground floor, there are three similar windows, with a door located to the left of centre in the second bay. This door has two recessed panels and one flush panel, along with a plain fanlight above. Rustication channels above each ground floor opening create the shape of a pediment, with a projecting stone plat band positioned above.
