Description
The Firs is a house in a terrace, dating from the early to mid-18th century. It has a roughcast exterior and an imitation stone slate roof, with a brick end stack on the left topped with stone capping. The building features a moulded wood dentil cornice. It has a single front range and a rear range that forms an L-shape, with three storeys. The front has three windows, which are plate glass sashes set in moulded wood frames, each adorned with triple keystones. There are two similar windows on the ground floor, along with a doorcase on the right. This doorcase has a large flat panelled wooden hood supported by scrolled brackets, and the door itself consists of six fielded panels set in a recess, topped by a plain fanlight. The second-floor windows are smaller plate glass sashes without keystones, positioned directly below the eaves.
