Description

FRAMPTON-ON-SEVERN PERRY WAY SO 7406-7506 (off south side) 11/142 Nastfield Farmhouse II Farmhouse. Mid/late C18, built by 1777. Brick on tall stepped ashlar plinth, tile roof with coped verges and kneelers, tall brick end stacks, moulded modillion cornice and plat band in terracotta. L-shape range of 2 storeys and attic with small single storey wing to left and C19 linking wing in centre. Three windows, 2-light wood mullion and transoms with large stone keystone and voussoirs, with central bay breaking forward slightly under modillion pediment with blind keyed oculus. Similar longer windows on ground floor flanking large doorcase with wooden pediment on brackets, moulded surround, 6-panel door, fielded with central 2 panels glazed, up 2 moulded stone steps. Brick dentil course to right hand return and rear of main range; right hand return has similar fenestration on rear wing. Interior has turned baluster stair, some chamfered beams on ground floor and fine marble fireplace to ground floor room left of door. (V.C.H., Gloucestershire, Vol X, 1972.)
