Description
This is a mill located approximately 30 metres west of Melksham Court, built in the early 19th century. It is constructed from marlstone rubble and features a thatched roof. The west gable is made of timber frame, which projects on brackets at the upper level and is filled with weatherboarding. The mill has two storeys, with a three-light casement window on the long north side and a small two-light casement window in the east gable above a plank door. Access to the door is via an external stone approach with ten steps. The roof has two purlins, a collar, and triangulating struts. This building seems to have been designed as a picturesque garden feature and is part of a group that includes the barn and Melksham Court.
