Description
Rockstowes House is a detached dwelling built in the late 18th century. It features ashlar limestone with a modillion cornice, a brick back wall, and a concrete tile hipped roof with a rebuilt stack on the right. The house has a very upright block shape with a brick extension at the back on the left, and it is set on a hill slope well back from the road. The building has three storeys and three windows, with original sashes that include glazing bars set in reveals. There is a cill band at the first floor level. A modern glazed door is located in the centre under a Doric portico with a flat entablature. The return wall on the right has two windows, also with sashes that include bars.
