Description

The gate posts and gates to Ham Mill date from the mid-19th century and are made of cast iron. The tubular cast iron posts feature bold shaped finials, while the contemporary spear-topped iron gates include one gate with principal bars adorned with fleur-de-lys finials. The central rails have double the number of vertical bars below, each topped with a spear. The posts display the manufacturer's name 'W.J. BLOODWORTH IRON FOUNDER'.
