Description

The Lodge is a house, dating from around 1800. It was originally the lodge for Brimscombe Court. The house is constructed of ashlar limestone, with a rebuilt chimney of artificial stone and a stone slate roof. It is a single-storey building with a cellar.

The east front has a central doorway with a 6-panel door and a rectangular window above. Flanking the doorway are two 12-pane sash windows in plain surrounds. A moulded cornice runs along the top of the front, with a blocking course above. The roof has a hipped form.

On the south side, there is an off-centre rectangular bay window with a cornice and blocking course. To either side are two 12-pane sash windows separated by a mullion. A parapet rises to a centre point, where a rebuilt chimney is situated. The rear of the property has three plain openings, now containing 20th-century casement windows, in a style similar to the cellar windows. The interior has not been inspected.
