Description

This is a mid 18th century pedestal tomb located approximately 7 meters southwest of the south transept of the Church of the Holy Trinity in Minchinhampton. The tomb is made of limestone and features a rectangular shape with a richly carved Doric frieze and fluted corner pilasters. The frieze includes symbols of death in the metopes. A bold cartouche is present on the south side, and the tomb has a cavetto moulded top with a gadrooned upper edge, along with a sunken base. The inscriptions on the tomb are illegible.
