Description

This is a house divided into two separate units. The first unit dates to the 18th century. It is constructed with ashlar limestone on the ground floor, with a rendered finish above, and has a rubble gable to the left, covered by a stone slate roof. The two-window front has a 12-pane sash window on the ground floor, and a blocked doorway to the right. The first floor has two 12-pane sash windows in exposed boxes. A brick stack is located on the right gable, and there are visible eaves at the rear.

The second unit is likely from the late 17th or early 18th century. It features squared and coursed dressed limestone and a stone slate roof. The rectangular front block has a gabled return facing the churchyard, and a deep back wing to the right. The two-storey-and-attic front has two 2-light casements flanking a central 20th-century glazed door set within a chamfered stone surround, all beneath a continuous moulded dripstone that stops abruptly at the ends. The first floor has two 2-light casements, the one to the right being blocked, and these are also under a continuous moulded and stopped dripstone. The gable return to the right has 2-light casements at each of three levels. These casements all have recessed chamfered mullions and small-paned lights. The corner at the right end of the building is chamfered at ground floor level. The rear wing is constructed of coursed squared stone, with two storeys, including a 2-light wood casement with transom over a 20th-century glazed door.
