Description
This is a barn dating from the early to mid-18th century, located approximately 20 meters northeast of Street Farmhouse in Nympsfield. It is constructed of random rubble limestone and has a stone slate roof. The barn features a central south porch with a stable addition at the rear. The gabled porch includes a dovecote opening with perches in the gable and a timber lintel above the plank doors, which have a dripmould above. There are lean-to outshuts on either side with low doorways, one of which has a clay pantile roof. The gable ends have owl holes, and the west end also features a loft casement. There is a barn door aligned with the rear. Additionally, two gabled wings have been added to the northeast corner for stables. The interior has not been inspected. This barn is part of a group with Street Farmhouse.
