Description
The building is a barn with attached cartsheds and stable located at Boundary Court Farm. The barn dates from the mid-18th century, the stable from the late 18th century, and the cartsheds from the mid-19th century. It is constructed from coursed rubble limestone and features a stone slate roof. The barn has five bays and includes a north porch, while the west side has a four-bay curved cartshed that connects to Boundary Court Cottage. The north side of the barn has blank walls, except for a projecting gabled porch with a timber lintel and plank doors. There is a central barn door on the south side with a timber lintel and blocked flanking vent slits, and the stable has a door with a small opening to the right. The cartshed features four pointed arches supported by octagonal piers. Inside, the barn has a collar and tie beam truss roof, and the cartshed has king post trusses. This range of buildings, along with the house, is an important landscape feature at the west end of Selsley Common.
