Description

Rose Cottage is a late 17th-century house located at the end of a row in King’s Stanley, Selsley, Gloucestershire. The house is constructed of random rubble limestone with a rendered chimney and a Welsh slate roof. It is two storeys high with an attic.

The front elevation has a two-window arrangement. It features two-light casement windows with chamfered mullions and hoods over. A central doorway is present with a basket-arched lintel and a plank door. The north-east end has a single-window arrangement with a three-light window to both the ground and upper floors and a two-light window to the attic, all featuring hoodmoulds. Evidence suggests the roof height has been raised, visible in the gable end. The rear elevation has a single two-light casement window to the upper floor. Flat-roofed additions and a lean-to are not considered to have special interest. The interior of the property has not been inspected.
