Description

The lych gate, located to the south of the Church of All Saints, was built in 1862 by the architect Bodley. It is constructed from coursed rubble limestone with ashlar dressings and features iron gates. The gate has a pointed-arched carriageway with two-leaf railed gates, and there is a smaller pointed-arched pedestrian gateway to the east, which includes ribbed cross vaulting. A buttress is present at the dividing pier between the archways, and the top is finished with hipped weathered coping. This strong design complements the nearby Church of All Saints.
