3/368 Barn and cattle shelter approximately 70m north of Nether Lypiatt Manor

Barn with shelter shed. Early C19. Squared rubble limestone to barn, ashlar piers to shelter shed; stone slate roofs. Five-bay barn with east porch and 10-bay south-facing shelter on east side. Central gabled porch with timber lintel and plank barn doors. Barn doors on west side are in-line but without porch. Each door flanked by 3 slit vents. Loft doorways to gable ends. Circular columns to shelter shed with plain square capitals; collar and tie beam cart shed roof. Interior: C20 rebuilt collar and tie beam truss roof; 3 rows of purlins. Inserted lofts at each end. Forms part of group with coach house and stables (q.v.).
