Description

The Dudley family monument is a pedestal tomb located in the churchyard, approximately 8 meters north of the Church of St Margaret. Dated 1771, it is made of limestone and features a rectangular, panelled design with an egg and dart enriched frieze. Each side has a finely carved cartouche. The monument has a hollow moulded top and a moulded base. The north side is inscribed to Joseph Dudley, who died in 1771. Additionally, brass plates attached to the top are engraved by Cook of Minchinhampton, commemorating members of the Dudley and Manning families.
