Description

This is an early 17th-century house situated on the end of a row. It is constructed of random rubble limestone with a stone slate and concrete plain tile roof. The house is two storeys high with an attic. A flat-roofed addition to the rear, dating from the 20th century, is not considered to be of particular architectural interest.

The front of the house features a central three-light casement window with a cavetto mullion on each floor, alongside a smaller single-light window to the right on the ground floor. All ground-floor windows are hooded. A doorway is sheltered by a round arched porch hood supported by posts. Spear-headed finial railings run along the north and west boundaries.

The west end of the building has a gable with a single window on the ground floor, which dates from the 20th century. Above this are a three-light and a two-light recessed cavetto mullioned window on the upper floor and in the attic respectively; these windows are also hooded. A gabled 20th-century dormer window is visible on the rear roof slope. The interior has not been inspected. The house is part of a group with Goring House.
