Description
Sheepscombe Methodist Chapel is a Baptist chapel that later became a Primitive Methodist chapel, built in 1820. It features coursed and squared limestone with a Welsh slate roof. The building has a simple gabled design parallel to the street, with two pointed two-light windows that have hoods and wood casements with triangular heads and horizontal glazing bars. The central entrance is a plank door set in a four-centred stone arch with a square hood, above which is the inscription "METHODIST CHAPEL." This entrance is raised on four stone steps. Each gable end has one window, and the rear has two windows, all matching those on the front. There is also a plank door in a plain opening on the right side at the back. The interior has been modified. Originally built in 1820, the chapel was sold to the Methodists in 1831 when the meeting moved to a chapel in New Street.
