Description

The war memorial, dating from around 1920, has an unknown architect and is made of local Cotswold limestone. It stands on a platform approximately 2 meters across.

The memorial features a wheel cross with fleur-de-lys terminals, which is set on a crisply-moulded collar. From this collar, the hexagonal column tapers down to a moulded base. One side of the base is inscribed with the words "TO / THOSE WHO DIED / FOR / THEIR COUNTRY / IN THE / GREAT WAR / 1914-1919" in an elegant Serif font. The other four sides list the regiments or services, ranks, and names of 13 individuals who are commemorated. The lower part of the structure consists of a three-stepped platform with a paved surround.
