Description
Dyrham War Memorial is a war memorial, likely built in the 1920s, with additional inscriptions added after the Second World War. It is made of limestone and has an octagonal shape.
The memorial features a tapering, chamfered cross shaft that stands on a narrow plinth and an octagonal base with three steps. The east face of the pedestal is inscribed with the words: "TO THE HONOURED MEMORY OF THESE MEN OF THIS PARISH WHO DIED IN THE GREAT WAR 1914-1918." The west face bears the inscription: "ALSO OF THOSE WHO FELL 1939-1945." The names of the Fallen are carved into the risers of the upper steps, and the cross itself has simple carvings with fleur-de-lys terminals.
