Description
The preaching cross located in the churchyard, approximately 12 metres south of the south aisle of the Church of St Andrew, is a medieval structure made of sandstone. It features a worn square base measuring about 850 mm on each side, with a heavily weathered top that includes a short length of octagonal shaft, approximately 800 mm long, which has pyramid stops. The top of the shaft has five round depressions. At the time of the survey in September 1983, the base was noted to be much overgrown, and it is possible that there are more stone steps beneath the vegetation that are not currently visible.
