Description

Hill Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in the mid to late 18th century, with some mid-19th century elements. It is constructed of brick, featuring Flemish bond at the front and English garden wall bond on the sides, topped with a tiled roof. The front has three windows and is three stories high, with a depth of one room. There are two parallel two-story rear wings.

The entrance features a four-panel door, with a flush bottom and glazed top, accessed by three stone steps. It has a cambered brick arch above and a gabled timber hood supported by consoles. On either side of the entrance, there is a plinth and a three-light mullion and transom window, also with a cambered brick arch. The first floor mirrors this arrangement, with two-light windows in the center and similar windows on either side, all equipped with iron opening lights. The second floor has three-light casement windows on each side and a two-light window in the center, all under cambered brick arches.

The eaves are decorated with dentils, and the gable chimneys have a slight projection. There is a large collar opening down the steps on the right return. The right rear wing was originally longer than the left, but both wings were later extended to the same length. The farmhouse forms a group with the nearby barn and cider house.
