Description
The Poplars is a house that likely dates from the late 17th century. It features brick-nogged timber-framing, with two panels high on each floor and a slate roof. The building has two bays, is one room deep, and stands two storeys tall. At the front, there is a leanto half-glazed porch that covers a half-glazed door on the left, a 2-light casement window, and another door on the right. On the first floor, there are three 2-light casement windows. A chimney is positioned left of centre on the ridge. The right side of the building has a 2-light casement window on both the ground and first floors towards the rear, with weatherboarding above. The gable truss features two collars. At the rear, there is a lean-to that is rendered, with a 2-light 20th-century casement window.
