Description
The barn at Honeyfield Farm, located approximately 75 metres south of the farmhouse and across the road, is a field barn that may date back to the 18th century. It is constructed from sandstone rubble and has a Welsh slate roof. The barn features five bays, a two-purlin collar and tie roof, and a very deep gabled cart entry that faces the road. There are various ventilation slits and central flush doors with a flat wood lintel on the east side. The barn has remained relatively untouched since it was first built, although it was noted to be in poor condition during a survey in November 1983. It should not be confused with another isolated field barn located about 400 metres north of the farmhouse, which is also marked on the map as Honeyfield Barn.
