Description
Woolaston House is a manse that is attached to a chapel and has been converted into a dwelling. It was built in 1832 and features smooth rendered walls with a concrete tile roof. The house has an L-shaped plan at the north end of the Moravian Chapel.
The river-facing side is stepped and has two storeys with a total of two windows on each floor. On the first floor, there is a deep two-light casement window under a stopped drip and a three-light casement window with a transom and stopped drip. The ground floor has a pair of French doors and a deep three-light casement window with a transom.
The entrance side also has two storeys, featuring two two-light casement windows and one one-light casement window above a two-light casement window on the far right. There is a four-panel door beneath a four-centre fanlight, flanked by a single 20th-century light, located off-centre to the right. The upper floor on this side projects over the lower floor, supported by two brackets.
On the left side, there is a hipped bay with a two-light casement window above a one-light and two-light casement window. Inside, the house retains its original stick baluster staircase and panelled doors.
