Description
The monument to Henary Worgan is located in the churchyard about 3 metres southeast of the southeast corner of the south transept of the Church of St Mary. This chest tomb dates from the late 17th century and is made of sandstone. It features a flat top with a moulded edge and flat panels that have slight drafted margins. At the time of the survey in November 1983, the base was noted to be sunk. The monument commemorates Henary Worgan, who died in 1687, although the design does not typically reflect the style of that period and may be from a later date. It is situated immediately east of the monument to Elizabeth Butler.
